I'd say a bloodbath between political factions wouldn't be out of the question if any of the faction heads showed hostility towards the other.

Besides, something we often forget, certain spaces had a lot of religious significance in those times. Such a ceremony would often be thought of as an event that goes hand in hand with the divine. The gods are watching iow.

Yeah I was a bit surprised to see how barefaced they were about it but, as they said, the internal conflict now hinges on the siege of Xianyang. A battle between the two factions within the Kinen temple (which is what would happen if Zheng labelled Lu Buwei a traitor and tried to have him executed) could lead to the death of them both and leave Qin without a ruler. The Ai Kingdom's delegation and their forces are also a bit of a wild card in all this. So...I think there won't be any direct conflict between the faction representatives and their guards until the situation in the battlefield has been decided.

Thank goodness for this. 2022 has been a shit year for anime for 18-34yr old males. More like the last handful of years it's been garbage. Many I feel have just disappeared like Golden Kamuy or Drifters. Now it seems we're lucky to get one good one a season and the rest are feminine or Chinese garbage.

For those who have forgotten or do not know yet.

The Four Pillars of Lu BuWei Faction:
1. General Mou Bu[I don't remember his Chinese name] - Future One of the new Six Great Generals of Qin. Yes, he is very talented as a general and powerful.

2. Cai Ze - Pro diplomatic speaker. If you wish to have someone to do all the negotiation with other country politicians, Cai Ze might be old, but the wisdom he holds is like a mountain of it. He is the guy you need for it.

3. Lord Changping - Talented Military Strategist almost equals and have the potential to compete against Li Mu of Zhao. High Commander of Imperial Guards [They are probably the strongest army in Qin, no joke. If it is Changping's army, the discipline level is very high that betrayal is unlikely, desertion is much more impossible in this army. Their loyalty can be deeply trusted].

4. Li Si - This guy is needed if you need to reform law. Some of you might think: "Writing law? Isn't that an easy task? Bruh, c'mon. That's what made him great?"
Well, apparently, forming a law isn't just that a simple task, I guess. Law is needed to maintain order and Li Si will writes the right law in the right way that everyone can follow without objection, I guess? Well, you can think of him as a role similar to "Judge" or smtg.

After Lu BuWei's defeat, Li Si is the only of 4 Pillars to be imprisoned, but will later then be released by YingZheng to help him in the matters of law.

Li Si is far more significant than a 'Judge', I would say. And although overshadowed by the military pillars, still the most significant of all the pillars.

What he writes literally shapes society for the years to come. It's not as evidently glorious & instantly impactful as the military pillars, but his words carry weight over a much longer period of time than the actions of any of the other three pillars.

Well it seems you all know its history and you should know he massacered every citizen of Zhao's capital with the help from generals Kyoukai and Yotanwa.

I do try to keep 'significance' & 'crimes against humanity' seperate. But is that really still history we're talking about or fiction? Li Si is a politician. He's plenty involved with assassinations happening within the inner court, but I'm not sure if he's behind the massacre of every citizen of Zhao's capital.

I'm even more unsure because Kyoukai & Yotanwa get a much more prominent role in this work than they ever did in real history. Qin, in it's real history, never fought side by side with a mountain tribe queen to conquer the rest of China.

Yotanwa wasn't from mountain tribe and Kyoukai wasn't a girl. The king ofc committed the massacre of Zhao's capital and its real, imagine your like a god now and you remember how you were treated in past and a horrible one too and ofc this you is reffering to the king, it would be impossible to not blow his head off just remembering his past. That's just human nature and that too was in distant past where winners are justice without complains.

Invasion of Zhao might take 1 season= around 24 episodes. Then fighting other nations after defeating Zhao, some possible betrayal from within the new Great 6 General, then Great Wall of China and massacre of the scholars, etc.

For Li Si, the law guy is needed so that the population doesnt divide itself as first class citizens in native Qin people and lowly based citizens or slaves for the other states people.

In real history Li Si was like Chang Wen Jun, as far as I remember his first supporters being Li Si, and Meng family. Even Meng Tian and Meng Yi are rumored to be his playmates. Chang Wen Jun tough is a cool character is not very much mentioned.

Yoooo, the badass powerful Imperial Guards of Qin. I'm glad to see them again ever since manga. This is the only moment you can see them. They are really damn powerful, as expected of Imperial Guards, I wish there can be more moments of their battle in the future. But, sadly their duties aren't in battlefield, but is to protect the capital of Qin.
